Company description
CampusLIVE was founded in 2006 by former UMass Amherst student Jared Stenquist, a serial entrepreneur who also manages the web development firm Jaredweb, Inc.
The site began at UMass Amherst under the name “ZooMassLinks” to fill the need for a centralized student homepage that brought together everything students look for on a daily basis. After running the site at UMass with tremendous success, Jared decided to expand the site to other colleges across the country. At this point Jared smashed his piggy bank and bought CampusLIVE.com - the beginning of a year that would truly put his entrepreneurial abilities to the test.
During the summer of 2007, Jared, Jeff and Boris gave up sleep, became addicted to Red Bull & Espresso, and made CampusLIVE into a scalable, dynamic homepage for college students across the country - focused on their campus and community.
