TravelersTable.com is a patented online tool for networking off-line for business or social purposes. 

The site provides a way for users to arrange meetings with the people they’d like to meet – anytime, anyplace- whether traveling or near home or work.

You can meet new people or make new contacts by:

(1)      Posting a Public Invite describing the purpose of the proposed meeting or the type of people you'd like to meet.

(2)      You'll be notified by email when someone accepts your Public Invite.

(3)      You can then approve or decline any acceptance – it's entirely up to you. 

The other person will be notified of your decision.   If you approve, the meeting is confirmed.  Thus, you control who attends your meeting even with public invites.

You can choose to keep your meeting location private and the location will only be disclosed to people you approve to attend.  You can also communicate with other users via double-blind email to facilitate meeting planning.  TravelersTable provides you with a lot of flexibility in arranging your meetings.

Users are encouraged to create a profile since it helps at either end of the invite - whether someone is deciding whether to accept another member's Public Invite or approve or decline another member's acceptance of their invite.   

People can post invites for coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, whatever they like. Alternatively, they can search for invites posted by others and accept any that interest them.  If the other person approves their acceptance, they can attend the networking meeting.

The site was built with the Ruby on Rails web application framework and uses MySQL for the database.
