Company description

You may have used an instant messaging tool like AIM or Yahoo Chat or Google Talk and know that you can send text messages to your family, friends, co-workers and associates. Yakkle does instant messaging too, but it also allows you to use your PC to transmit your voice to your friends and to share your desktop with them all from within a single application. It's kind of a triple-play. Now you can connect with anyone on the internet, send them a "hi", speak with them using superb sound quality and show them anything you have on your PC, like photos or documents. You can even let them control your mouse and keyboard from their computer and send and receive files right through Yakkle.  Yakkle has also built a Twitter client, seemlessly integrated into the Yakkle client.

We like to think of Yakkle as adding a "one-click" option to take your IM session and supercharge it by adding voice, desktop and conferencing.

Team
To date, we have three Co-Founders who have built the technology, web, and all related materials.
Business model
At this point, we are free to download and use and are leveraging the user community for what direction we should take our product into and what additional features are needed.
Competitive advantage
We believe having voice, im, and desktop sharing all in a single application with the ability to continue to add more services, provides a one stop shop for a true instant collaboration product.  We also believe that it has to be super easy to setup and run.  Yakkle is not centrally served either as we do true peer to peer collaboration.
