BD Consulting and Investigations was established in 2006 to assist the High Technology, Energy, Manufacturing, Bio-Tech and Software industries manage the increasingly complex business risks unique to their industries.  In addition to these industries, BD Consulting and Investigations offers its risk assessment and management services to other businesses, including retail and large scale residential businesses.  BD Consulting and Investigations provides a customer oriented, multi-discipline, problem solving team, to help our clients with their business decisions to solve business risk problems.   We are a State of California certified small business and also a veteran owned business.  

Thomas Quilty.  Thomas (Tom) is the Chief Executive Officer for BD Consulting and Investigations, Inc and works on developing new business opportunities for the corporation.  Tom has a strong background in risk management through his experiences in the military, law enforcement and as head of BD Consulting and Investigations, Inc.  Tom's law enforcement career spanned more than 25 years, including almost eight years with the FBI React High Technology Crimes Task Force.  While at the Task Force, Tom had the opportunity to see firsthand the issues and potential solutions to many of Intellectual Property, Data Security, Supply Chain and physical security problems faced by the high tech, manufacturing and software industries.  Tom has assisted corporations and law firms understand the issues related to Risk Assessments, Data Breach planning and Data Breach response.  Tom's experiences in the investigation of federal and state high technology crimes, and experiences working with the Secret Service, Department of State, and other law enforcement agencies give him a unique perspective on high tech crime.  Tom's broad range of experience in managing risk has also made him a valuable asset to his clients in the areas of Due Diligence for a Merger or Acquisition and other unique situations.  Tom has been consulted by corporations, schools and law enforcement for recommendations on minimizing the risks involved with business operations.

James Keith.  James (Jimmy) is the President of BD Consulting and Investigations, Inc and oversees the day to day operations of the corporation.  Jimmy has a strong background in assessing and managing risk from his 32 years of law enforcement.  Jimmy has investigated high technology crime with the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, was assigned to the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), and worked with the Secret Service, Department of State, and other law enforcement agencies for most of his career.  Jimmy managed and supervised the dignitary protection unit of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office and has conducted numerous site security surveys throughout the Bay area, including residences, churches, sporting events, hospitals, colleges and corporations.  While assigned to Stanford University as the liaison from the Sheriff's Office, Jimmy assisted the Stanford University Department of Public Safety with risk assessments for the Hoover Institute, Stanford Hospital and other University systems.  Jimmy is known as being a person who gets things done in a friendly, efficient manner.
