Our first venture into the online media space is entitled, Thatguywiththeglasses.com. As a company we've been established for a little over a year, and our site has been around for nearly 2 years. Our first full year in business (2009) brought us nearly a quarter million in revenue, and over 1 million monthly unique visitors accounting for over 5.4 million monthly visits and almost 19 million monthly page views.
Right now we are probably the most bootleg looking video start-up out there as we didn't go the Angel of VC route, yet we have a fairly decent and dedicated audience, and we have shown that small start-ups can make money online. We've also had a few articles written about us as well. (Chicago Suntimes, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Entrepreneur Magazine)
Our path is slowly being evolved into that of becoming the equivalent of a TV network online, one that showcases hundreds of shows sprawling over countless niche channels.
