Bunnie Strassner, President

Bunnie Strassner has been in show business her whole life. With a nightclub singer for a mother, she has spent her earliest years in TV studios and supper clubs.

She attended Emerson College in Boston and majored in Theatre Arts, planning a career on Broadway, but television got in the way.

She has worked as a talent agent for TV, Theatre and commercials both in New York and Los Angeles. She opened her own company as a personal manager in Hollywood in 1979 and represented actors, singers and comedians.

After her son Casey was born, she decided that he needed all the babysitting time she had and she closed her company. During his early years, she wrote and produced many projects including music videos and stories for Entertainment Tonight.

She worked with her husband, Norm Strassner in the sales and marketing of his linear editing system where they successfully sold over 400 systems to the television industry.

Upon moving to Boulder, she wrote and produced several videos for CU and others. When the opportunity arose, she and Norman bought Flashback Video and have been making award winning programs for industry and broadcast ever since.

She has extensive experience writing and producing award winning programs for broadcast, corporate/industrial and educational clients.

Norm Strassner began his professional career in 1976 as an on-air director in a small local television station in Florida. The station, providing mostly live, locally originated programming, provided Mr. Strassner with a "front line" education in live broadcast television.

In 1977, Mr. Strassner moved to Hollywood, CA and shortly thereafter began editing cutting-edge cable television shows for entertainment producer/reporter David Sheehan. These shows, “David Sheehan’s Hollywood” and “Showtime in Hollywood”, aired on On-TV and Showtime, respectively.

Mr. Strassner went on to direct for, and/or edit, hundreds of broadcast television shows including “Entertainment Tonight", "America with Sarah Purcell and McLean Stevenson", George Schlatter's "Real People" and Smith-Hemion’s "On Stage America". He also freelanced as a director for NBC, CBS, CNN, Paramount Television and many other independent production companies. He has also edited feature films.

Mr. Strassner was nominated and subsequently accepted into the Director's Guild of America. He was also one of the first six creative videotape editors invited into the Motion Picture Editors Guild.

Mr. Strassner moved with his family to Boulder, CO in 1995. He purchased an existing production company, Flashback Video Productions (now Flashback Media Productions), and began directing and editing projects for broadcast television, cable, educational, corporate and small business clients.

To date, Mr. Strassner and Flashback Media Productions have won 11 Telly Awards, 9 Communicator Awards, 6 Aurora Awards, 1 Summit Award, 2 Vision Awards and more.
