Today, private companies have more sources of funding available than ever before. Angel groups invest more money into startups, VCs are investing at an earlier stage than before and hedge funds are also investing into private companies. In this show, Bambi and John highlight the new sources of funding available to entrepreneurs. In his innovation minute, John talks about the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in London and the new Section 144 market currently being built by large investment banks and NASDAQ. This exchange will create a liquid market for institutional investors to invest in private companies.

John and Bambi then discuss the factors that contributed to the increased rate of exits through M&A(more than 80% of VC backed startups exit through an acquisition) as compared to the high IPO rate of the late 1990. Enjoy the show and see you on Vator.tv!
