During lunch at the Always On Venture Summit, I realized that I was sitting next to a national celeb.

Sam Perry, AKA, "Mr. Man" mentioned something about Oprah Winfrey. From my seat in front of the fireplace, I inched over closer to him and overheard more details. Shortly after, I got up to have a better look and sure enough, this was the guy and the shoulder that Oprah was crying on during Obama's acceptance speech in Grant Park, Illinois. The video here is of our interview. It covers his account of that day and being in Grant Park, his thoughts about what Obama will do for Silicon Valley, and his thoughts about the Venture Summit.

Like many others at the summit, Sam was there to learn about and discuss the significant economic, political and technology trends impacting the Valley. Sean Knapp, one of Ooyala's co-founders ( we have THREE) presented a quick overview or our company--with the kind invitation from the Always On folks. You can see that video in our Vator.tv company profile!)
