Spreadshirt, an online Web 2.0 clothing platform, has just landed €10 million in financing.  The round was led by Kennet Partners and backed by its existing investor, Accel Partners.

Founded in 2002 by Lukasz Gadowski, Spreadshirt offers an online shopping site where users can purchase shirts designed by either Spreadshirt or the community in its marketplace.  Spreadshirt also offers a t-shirt creation application for potential buyers where the user can write text on a shirt or pick from different graphics and designs.

With its nearing 300 current employees, Germany based Spreadshirt, plans to use the funding to add new products and capabilities to its online platform and also begin to tap into the US market where it will be going heads up against, San Mateo, CA, based Café Press, which offers basically the same service.  Spreadshirt currently has offices in Germany, UK, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Italy, Ireland, France and the USA.
