From what I can tell Brash is getting somewhere around 100k visitors a month, their real strength is the 10-15 mil uniques from their network of partner sites. There are other gaming providers but we're the only one with a spot on the homepage. There are links back to the site :)

It's an affiliate partnership based off of acquisitions with the hopes that it could become a deeper partnership down the line.

Larger partners likely have the leverage. So, I wouldn't recommend fighting tooth and nail for a favorable deal. It's good to get a deal in place, as long as you have a termination clause. Just keep in mind, no deal is better than a deal that puts you at significant risk.

We just found ourselves in a very similar position. In our case we used someone who was not in our core demographic to test our system. This way we were not relying on any previously expected user knowledge when they started. It focused us on the need for additional simplicity

1) Revenue 2) branding 3) traffic - Unless you're a non-profit, branding and referred traffic are means to a revenue end. I would also say I'd prefer branding over referred traffic because on Vator, we'd prefer to maintain a good brand than to tarnish it with just any traffic.

Surely you want branding before Revenue, so that not all the focus is tied in with making money before establishing a recognizable brand.

I actually agree with Bambi that revenue should be the top concern with the caveat that it depends on how deep your pockets are. Many firms have built strong brands and left monetization as the last problem they attempt to solve, and a lot of the time it remains unsolved.
